We’re hiring an English Language Copy‑Editor! If you’re driven by great writing, scientific accuracy, and meaningful collaboration, come help us elevate the quality and impact of our publications.

Your main responsibilities will include:

• edit and proofread texts – mainly of a scientific nature – drafted by the various entities of the EDQM for grammar, punctuation, spelling and style, ensure clarity and readability for the target audience and consistency in terminology, formatting, structure and presentation of references, in line with internal style guides; 
• help develop and maintain internal style guides;
• use your scientific knowledge/copy-editing experience across a variety of subject areas to re-draft or re-present information about EDQM activities in a manner suitable for the target audience;
• flag style and text inconsistencies, offer suggestions to improve awkward or unclear language, and resolve queries directly with authors and other colleagues within and outside the division (translators, scientific editors, etc.); provide constructive feedback to authors and contributors to support continuous improvement in scientific writing;
• participate in departmental and cross-entity projects, depending on training, interests and competencies.
