EDQM’s Proficiency Testing scheme – new fees for 2024 programme

The EDQM’s Proficiency Testing scheme (PTS) provides a unique opportunity for laboratories both inside the General European OMCL Network and other laboratories to undertake an independent external assessment of their individual performance.

After careful consideration of the rise in inflation rates and transport costs and in order to maintain sustainability of the Proficiency Testing scheme, we have found it essential to revise the fees for physico-chemical and biological PTS for participants who are not members of the General European OMCL Network. The new fees, including shipment costs, are as follows:

900 Euros per physico-chemical PTS.
1500 Euros per biological PTS.
500 Euros for each additional set of samples necessary to fully repeat a PTS (this fee applies to all participants of a study).

The EDQM remains committed to providing the highest- standard service that meets the quality requirements of participants in the programme.

Fees

The fees for participation in the PTS studies, including shipment costs, are:

900 Euros per physico-chemical PTS
1500 Euros per biological PTS

for laboratories not belonging to the OMCL Network.

500 Euros for each additional set of samples necessary to fully repeat a PTS (this fee applies to all participants of a study).

Shipment

The preferred method of shipment will be door-to-door shipment; however, airport consignment to your nearest airport may have to be considered in certain circumstances. Once the parcel has been sent, the participant will receive a Dispatch notification with the tracking information and a link to follow the progress of the shipment.

How to pay?

The EDQM will send an invoice (one for each study) to the laboratory's address or the billing address indicated by the applicant. Payment is required 30 days end of the month or in advance (according to the information given on the order confirmation).
