The International Symposium on Pharmaceutical Reference Standards will take place in Strasbourg, France, and online on 23 and 24 September 2026. Jointly organised by the European Directorate for the Quality of Medicines & HealthCare (EDQM) and the United States Pharmacopeia (USP), this event will provide an opportunity for experts from industry, regulatory bodies and academia to discuss the changing landscape of both chemical and biological pharmaceutical reference standards.
Key topics on the agenda include:
- best practices for the establishment and life-cycle management of small‑molecule and biological reference standards, and regulatory expectations;
- new trends, innovations and emerging challenges in pharmaceutical reference standards;
- panel discussions on reference standards;
- poster session showcasing practical applications in the field.
