The European Pharmacopoeia Commission has granted observer status to the Kyrgyz Republic. This decision demonstrates the dynamism of the European Pharmacopoeia (Ph. Eur.), which now has 32 observers from around the world in addition to 39 European countries and the European Union as signatory parties.
This status allows the Kyrgyz authorities to participate in the scientific work of the European Pharmacopoeia Commission and other EDQM activities, to benefit from the EDQM’s experience in the field of medicinal products for human and veterinary use, to exchange with experts from European and international licensing authorities and inspectorates, and to take part in the work on the development of international quality controls for medicines and the methods of analysis used.
