The symposium “Healthcare and medicines: meeting patient’s needs through Council of Europe/EDQM and national programmes”, co-organised by the European Directorate for the Quality of Medicines & HealthCare (EDQM) and Infarmed, the Portuguese National Authority for Medicines and Health Products, is now open for registration.
Don’t miss this unique opportunity to interact with key stakeholders and representatives from organisations across Europe, all committed to advancing the safe and appropriate use of medicines and promoting patient-centred care. This two-day, in-person event will bring together experts from health authorities, policy makers, healthcare professionals and industry and patient representatives.
Key topics will include:
- exploring the role of the EDQM and Infarmed in promoting and protecting public health;
- highlighting innovative national programmes, including Infarmed’s Incluir (patient engagement) and Dispensa em Proximidade (Proximity Dispensing System) projects;
- discussing the implementation of the EDQM’s guidelines on medication review and the traceability of medicines in hospital settings;
- addressing challenges in the remote and online provision of medicines;
- exchanging perspectives on the safe use of herbal food supplements;
- engaging in interactive discussions on the future of best practice in healthcare.
