The year 2020 will mark 10 years of successful collaboration between the EU and the EDQM in the field of blood. On this occasion the EDQM, in collaboration with the European Commission, is organising a conference on the latest challenges faced by European Blood Establishments.
This event will cover topics such as data protection, demographic changes among blood healthcare professionals, the globalisation of the market supply of medical devices, material and equipment, the new Medical Device (MD) and In Vitro Medical Device (IVD) Regulations, as well as contingency planning and business continuity in the blood field.
This event will take place in Strasbourg from 21 to 23 April 2020 and should lead to drafting recommendations that will support stakeholders and decision makers in developing strategies to address emerging issues and that can serve as a basis for future legislative and technical instruments.
