Programme Overview

The objective of this live, interactive webinar is to present the EDQM guideline “How to read a CEP”, which is publicly available on the EDQM website. The webinar is designed to clarify and improve holders’ and users’ understanding of the content of Certificates of suitability to the European Pharmacopoeia.

The presentation will cover the following topics:


  • Aim and scope of a CEP
  • How to interpret the information laid down in each type of CEP
  • Update of CEPs after revisions and renewals
  • Practical examples

The webinar will be provided by Mrs Marta Miquel Figuerol, Scientific Officer, and Mr Cristian Sampaolesi, Head of Section for New Dossier Applications, Certification of Substances Department, EDQM, Council of Europe.

Who should attend

This webinar will be of interest to manufacturers of substances within the scope of the Certification Procedure and to users of CEPs from both the public and private sectors. The webinar is ideal for professionals in the private sector working in quality control/compliance, manufacturing and regulatory affairs and for professionals in the public sector dealing with the licensing of medicinal products.


Participation is FREE OF CHARGE.

Prior to the webinar you can submit general questions which you would like to have addressed during the webinar via a question form. For organisational reasons, these questions should be submitted not later than 23rd November.

System Requirements

No special software is necessary for the webinar. If you wish to connect to audio using VoIP (Voice over Internet Protocol) you will need a fast Internet connection, a microphone and speakers. A USB headset is recommended. The VoIP connection is free.
