TOPICS : 03- HEALTHCARE / 03- MELCLASS Database on the legal classification of medicines as regards their supply  / 05. How do I search for the classification of a medicine in a particular country?

If you know the ATC or the INN of the active ingredient of interest, you should select the corresponding item in the appropriate search bar (i.e. Select ATC or Select INN), then choose the country of interest in Search Country and, finally, click on Search.

If you wish to consult the classification of a medicine in the countries that contribute to the work of the Committee of Experts CD-P-PH/PHO, you can follow these steps: select the ATC code or INN of the active ingredient of interest in the appropriate search bar (i.e. Select ATC or Select INN) (Filters section), click National Data (Display section) and then click Search (Filters menu).

If you do not know the ATC code or the INN of the active ingredient of interest, you can consult the ATC/DDD Index that is available on the website of the WHO Collaborating Centre for Drug Statistics Methodology (URL: http://www.whocc.no/atc_ddd_index/ ).
