A robust Quality Management System (QMS) is key to ensuring the efficacy, quality and safety of tissues and cells for human application.
Each tissue establishment needs to implement a QMS to ensure that tissues and cells for human application comply with technical and legal requirements in a consistent manner. The concept of quality management has evolved significantly within this field, compelling tissue establishments to continually adapt to new requirements.
With the support of the European Commission, the European Directorate for the Quality of Medicines & HealthCare (EDQM)/Council of Europe is organising a training course on Quality Management for Tissue Establishments.
This free training course will provide tissue establishments in Europe with the tools required for the successful implementation of a QMS for all processes from identification of potential donors, through processing and storage of the tissues or cells, to the final preparation for application to the patient.
