The EDQM offsets its 2010 CO₂ emissions
As part of its Environmental Management System, the EDQM is taking part in reducing greenhouse gas emissions by compensating CO₂ emissions resulting from shipments made through DHL GOGREEN. This project aims to calculate all the CO₂ emissions resulting from its shipments to then compensate these emissions with schemes such as the installation of solar panels in emerging countries, investments in new technologies, and reforestation projects in Asia and South America.

The EDQM offset a total of 58.79 t of CO₂ in 2010 through this programme.

NEW: the EDQM has started to offset its CO₂ emissions generated from the transportation of its waste. This new initiative aims at supporting sustainable development projects.
