Homepage / About us / Visit the EDQM

The EDQM is happy to arrange visits to its premises upon request from groups of visitors with a professional interest in our work.
Visits are primarily for educational or scientific groups (for example, for students studying scientific disciplines such as pharmacy, chemistry, biochemistry, etc. or for professionals working in the field of quality control of medicines). A visit consists of a short talk on the history, current missions and activities of the EDQM, a tour of the meeting rooms and of the technical and/or laboratory areas. Visits last about one hour and are open to groups with a maximum of 15-20 participants. Visitors must be at least 15 years old. We do not organise visits for individuals. Visits are carried out in English or French.
Visits are free of charge. In view of the very large number of visit requests, it is important to book your visit at least 2 months prior to your first preferred visiting date.
To arrange a visit, complete the Visit Request Form and send it to the EDQM's Public Relations by post or fax. Our postal address and fax number can be found in the right-hand menu. Alternatively, you can e-mail us the form via the EDQM HelpDesk. If you wish to schedule a visit for a date sooner than 2 months from today, please contact the EDQM's Public Relations via the EDQM HelpDesk. Once your visit has been confirmed, we will contact you. To cancel your visit, notify us at least 48 hours in advance.
Visiting hours are Monday to Friday (except on French public holidays) between 9:00-11:00 a.m. and 14:00-16:00 p.m. Visits are not organised during the European Pharmacopoeia Commission sessions.
Come to the visitor's entrance on ‘7 allée Kastner' and report to Security Desk. You will be asked to present photo identification (e.g. a passport, driving licence), therefore please do not forget to bring one with you. This is to confirm that you are on the list of authorised visitors.
In some instances, visits can be tailored to a group's particular requirements or interests. It is important to specify your interests in the visit request form. For more information, contact the EDQM's Public Relations via the EDQM HelpDesk.
Costs
The EDQM does not provide any reimbursements related to visits. Groups are responsible for covering all their travel, accommodation and subsistence expenses.
