Supplements 9.1 to 9.5 of the European Pharmacopoeia are now available to order on the EDQM store. These supplements, which are expected to be ready for dispatch during June, contain all the regulatory information that will come into force in the course of 2018. They complement the 9th Edition launched last year and bring the total number of monographs to 2351 (including dosage forms), along with 361 general texts (including general monographs and methods of analysis) and around 2670 descriptions of reagents.
The new supplements can be ordered in the usual online and print versions, as well as in a new downloadable format, which replaces the discontinued USB version. This new downloadable version will be identical to the USB format in terms of look and feel, the only technical difference being that subscribers will be able to download the content from a link provided by the EDQM.
The licensing conditions of the downloadable version are also identical to those of the former USB version, and include two install licences and one portable licence. Customers who wish to use the portable licence will need to purchase their own USB stick. Special conditions are made available for multi-user licences. Users of the 9.0-9.2 USB version can try the downloadable versions of 9.1 and 9.2 for free. More information and a list of recommended USB flash drives can be found here.
The European Pharmacopoeia is the only pharmacopoeia allowing access to the markets of 38 European countries (including the entire European Union) and is applied in more than 100 countries worldwide. All versions allow free access to the online archives of the European Pharmacopoeia and provide direct links for each text to the EDQM’s Knowledge Database.
