It addresses issues related to haematopoietic progenitor cell transplantation, quality issues, histocompatibility laboratory data analysis, bone marrow donor registries and cord blood banking and transplantation. It concludes with a number of recommendations allowing the development of a future policy in the field of bone marrow transplantation for Council of Europe Member States.
