The EDQM organises conferences and trainings related to the quality control of medicines. EDQM scientific staff play a key role in establishing the programmes and in meeting event participants. These events give participants an opportunity to learn together, share experiences, and engage in purposeful dialogue.
The EDQM regularly participates in pharmaceutical fairs and exhibitions.

International Workshop: Human Challenge Trials in Vaccines Development: Scientific and Regulatory Issues
This workshop will build on previous meetings that generally addressed broader themes of challenge studies in the context of basic infection and immunity research, in an attempt to better understand host-pathogen interactions, with little consideration given to vaccine development-related questions. In addition to reviewing information on the state-of-the-art and recently generated data, this conference will drill-down to key practical issues facing vaccine developers and regulators when challenge studies are used as a tool for vaccine development or testing, to expedite the safe and efficient introduction of new or improved immunization technologies.
