Programme Overview

Reference standards are key materials for pharmaceutical analysis and quality control of medicines. The aim of this symposium is to provide an international forum for all stakeholders and professionals working in this field.

The two-day programme will cover the following topics:

• the use, availability, establishment and quality control of reference standards.

• what are the regulatory and scientific aspects to be considered when dealing with reference standards.

• reference standards for biologicals and biosimilars.

• new analytical technologies for the characterisation of reference standards for small molecules.

• material management and advances in the production of reference standards.

During the symposium, there will be plenty of time for discussion and for asking questions to the speakers. Participants will also be able to network with each other and with representatives from the EDQM.
