EDQM REFERENCE STANDARDS

Safety Data Sheets

2090 SDS are available on-line in the reference standards database, or upon request via the HelpDesk.
The electronic versions of the European Pharmacopoeia (CD-ROM, Internet) also include links to the on-line database. These sheets are elaborated from bibliographic data available in scientific literature or from information communicated by suppliers of raw material used for the preparation of reference standards and has not been independently verified by EDQM staff. The accuracy of such information cannot therefore be guaranteed.

NB: The EDQM is in the process of revising MSDS for all European Pharmacopoeia Reference Standards in accordance with Annex II of the Regulation No (EC) 1907/2006 (REACH).

Letter Replacing Cert. of Analysis

 

Over 2020 reference standards officially valid for the uses prescribed in the European Pharmacopoeia monographs, a list of newly adopted reference standards, a Batch Validity Statement (BVS) for reference standards, 2066 Safety Data Sheets, and 422 leaflets are available to download.

The Reference Standards Catalogue is updated three times a year and is available in English only. It includes the list of all the reference Substances currently available together with our terms of business and instructions for use.

Tobramycin Monograph 01/2008:0645 corrected 6.2

(08/03/10) Please note that Tobramycin CRS 3 (T1500000) is suitable only for LC assay as described in the following leaflet, until the monograph of Tobramycin 01/2008:0645 corrected 6.2 has been amended (procedure described in the following leaflet).
Tobramycin CRS 3 is not suitable for identification, for which Tobramycin for identification CRS (Y0001210) must be used.

Amikacin sulphate Monograph 01/2010 : 1290

(12/02/10) Please note that Amikacin sulfate CRS batch 3 is suitable only for identification as prescribed in the monograph 01/2010:1290. For the assay and the related substances test amikacin CRS must be used instead to prepare reference solution (a) and reference solution (b) according the procedure described in the following leaflet:

Cefradine Monograph 01/2008 : 0814

From 4 January 2010

(08/01/2010) To carry out the test for related substances, two Reference Standards must now be used: Cefradine for peak identification CRS batch 2 Y0000568 and Cefradine impurity mixture CRS batch 1 Y0001174.

NEW: Shipping Information for Reference Standards

 

New Labels

The EDQM is currently over-labelling all its reference standards vials with a secondary label.

 

This new secondary label is useful for customs purposes as it can be peeled off. It can also be stuck onto your laboratory book to prove the use of the reference standard. All the required information to perform the tests described in the European Pharmacopoeia monographs are stated on the primary label and in the online catalogue.

 

Online Database Access (price, availability...)

Click on the link below to access the Reference Standards Database. A list of new reference standards and new batches with the date of release is also available. To read this list, simply click on 'News' when you enter the database.

 

Place an Order

You can place an order for reference standards using an online order form. To submit an order to the EDQM online, please fill in the online order form and click 'Submit Order'. Please make sure all the fields marked with an asterisk (*) are filled out. Remember to check the availability of the reference standards before ordering (see reference standards database above). This same form can be used to confirm a proforma invoice or quotation you received from the EDQM.
